  • Donald Trump (Republican Candidate)

    Donald Trump is the 45th President of the United States. Trump’s campaign has stated that they will, “carry out the largest deportation operation in American history”, “cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children”, “rebuild our cities and restore law and order”, and that “republicans will restore safety in our neighborhoods by replenishing police departments, restoring Common Sense Policing, and protecting officers from frivolous lawsuits.”

  • Kamala Harris (Democratic Candidate)

    Kamala Harris is current Vice President of the United States. She has no criminal justice platform formally on campaign website at time of print. Her campaign has stated that “the Biden-Harris administration has achieved a historic record of accomplishment, including: … enacting the first meaningful gun safety reform in decades and bringing violent crime down to a near 50-year low”. As part of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, “she started a program, ‘Back on Track,’ to give first-time drug offenders the opportunity to earn high school diplomas and get jobs.”

  • Bernie Moreno (Republican Candidate)

    Bernie Moreno’s campaign states that he is an “conservative. outsider. entrepreneur.” He also wants to “empower local law enforcement to ensure safe communities”, “vigorously defend our constitutional rights, especially the second amendment”, “end wokeness and cancel culture”, and “end socialism in America.”

  • Sherrod Brown (Democratic Candidate)

    Sherrod Brown’s campaign states that “Sherrod supports the men and women of law enforcement who put their lives on the line to protect our communities. He’s fighting every day to make sure all law enforcement officers have the resources, training, and support they need to do their jobs well” and “introduce[d] legislation endorsed by the NAACP and the Fraternal Order of Police that would support law enforcement de-escalation training to protect our officers and make our communities safer.”
